Hi, I’m Bill

The magic of flying has captured my imagination ever since I can remember. For me the ability to fly gives access to unparalleled freedom and adventure.

I started building and flying model aircraft from an early age. Learning to fly seemed always out of reach until I learned to hang glide. Then we started flying them with chainsaw engines and that was at the beginning of the microlight movement.

I have designed several microlights including the Pegasus Quantum, Quik, P&M QuikR, GTR, PulsR and Hypertrike. Now I have built a modified Jodel DR1050 fitted with a Rotax 912S engine which allows very economical family flying.

My Services

Flight testing

I am an RAeS approved person for E conditions flight testing of prototypes and can prepare an E conditions dossier. I have flight-tested all my own designs, both flexwing and three-axis. I can act as a test pilot for LAA and BMAA projects as well as check flights for existing aircraft. Actual flight time is not chargeable as I am a PPL holder. I have about 4,000 hrs flight time, split 50/50 flexwing and 3 axis.

Design & Stressing

In my career I have been responsible for the design, build, stressing, load testing, certification of several microlight aircraft types. In the last 2 years I have been working on my own and also for Acroflight Ltd, especially with their Altair Hyperworks software.


 It’s better to fly if you can. I can help make that possible.
